Check Out This Song by Monroe Moon If You’re Looking To Get The Chill Feeling

Monroe Moon and the new single ¡Get Up! is an eclectic mix of blues, dream pop, shoegaze, surf rock, dark pop, chillout, and alternative pop. I’m excited to be reviewing this fantastic group and their latest single — as I’ve been a fan for a long time now.

MONROE MOON is an alt-pop artist from Grand Rapids, MI. She released her first single ¡GET UP! on October 3rd, 2022. The song is a dreamy mix of blues and pop that has been described as “a perfect introduction to the world of Monroe Moon.”

I present to you a stream of consciousness on pain & loss, threaded with self-deprecating humour, written from both the perspective of a person who is experiencing despair and of a person who is communicating with a dear one who is in its depths.

Monroe Moon releasing ¡GET UP!

Monroe Moon’s ¡GET UP! is a song that will make you feel like you’re floating through the air on a cloud of your own thoughts. The vocals are soothing and mesmerizing, while the music has a chill and relaxing quality. The lyrics are poetic and speak to the heart.

It’s got a lot of power—the vocals are strong and clear, and the instrumentals are well-balanced between guitars, bass and drums. The track also has a great tempo that keeps things moving along nicely throughout the whole song.

I am impressed with the level of clarity and crispness this track has, but it is not too polished or overproduced to the point of becoming dull in any way.

Having instrumental breakdowns to break up songs at the appropriate times gives songs a great deal of variety and variety without feeling forced or unnecessary.

Monroe Moon is definitely going places—if you want to be part of this journey with her, check out her website or follow her on Spotify and Soundcloud. You won’t regret it!
