An irresistible blend of classic country storytelling and Americana charm that will captivate your heart and soul

The Cumberland River Project brings a vibrant mix of Americana and country, championing these genres with a passion that’s unmistakable from the first note. Led by Frank Renfordt from Hagen, Germany, his latest single, “Highway Blue,” serves as a testament to the timeless appeal of these musical styles. In “Highway Blue”, Frank demonstrates an ability to weave melancholic yet hopeful narratives that resonate deeply with fans of easy listening and nostalgic melodies.

“Highway Blue” was written and produced by Frank Renfordt, who not only played bass and rhythm parts but also orchestrated an international ensemble of talented session musicians. The single features Ender Mogollon from Argentina on acoustic guitars and banjo, JL Folks from the USA on electric guitars, and Neemias Teixeira from Brazil on piano. The vocals, perfectly rendered by Nashville-based Easton Driver, capture the summer vibe and emotional depth of the track.
